Ashley Michele Greene is an American actress born on 21, 1987. The role for which she is best known is that of Alice Cullen in the film Twilight (2008). She will be reprising the role in its upcoming sequels, New Moon and Eclipse.. Greene was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of Michele and Joe Greene, a U.S. Marine now owning his own concrete business.

Ashley was raised in Middleburg and Jacksonville and attended the University Christian School before she got transferred to Wolfson High School during her tenth grade. Greene graduated at an early age of 17 and moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her acting career. She has an older brother named Joe, who still lives with her parents in Jacksonville. Greene initially planned to be a model but was told that she is not tall enough to work as runway model and hence should try her luck in commercials. She focused on that and after taking the acting classes he started loving acting and preferred it to acting. Ashley, thus appeared in popular TV show such as, Punk’d and Crossing Jordan and others as guests actress. The role of Alice Cullen in Twilight is one of the major breaks in Ashley’s career.
