About Jackson Rathbone
Jackson Rathbone was born as Monroe Jackson Rathbone on December 21, 1984. He is an American actor and singer. Rathbone has gained immense fame for his well-known role as Jasper Hale in the film “Twilight” (2008), which is an adaptation of a novel of same name by Stephenie Meyer.
Rathbone was born in Singapore but he lived several places that ranged from Indonesia to Midland, Texas. Rothbone’s career started out in a Midland local theatre as a participant in the youth actors program. It was “The Pickwick Players,” a musical theatre for his junior and senior years of high school. The Interlochen Arts Academy, a private school for the arts in Michigan served as the Alma meter of Rothbone. He majored in acting from there and after graduation his decision was to go to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, but he ventured to Los Angeles instead in order to experiment with the big screen. Rathbone was cast in Disney 411 after he pent some time in Los Angeles. In that course he interviewed many up-and-coming personalities like Hilary Duff and the sister duo Aly & AJ. He also appeared in guest roles on The O.C. and Close to Home. Some of his popular movies include Molding Clay, Pray for Morning, and Travis and Henry. Rathbone will soon be seen playing the role of Sokka in The Last Airbender in the year 2010. The film is based on the animated series. In 2009; Rathbone played Jeremy in S. Darko in the year 2009. He also played a serial killer with a multi-personality disorder on the show, Criminal Minds.Jackson will also be reprising his role as Jasper Hale in the sequels to Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse.
Rothbone is a regular performer in a band called 100 Monkeys set up by him along with two other friends whom he met in high school at Interlochen Arts Academy. The band has planned to release its first two albums during the later part of this year.
